The Titan spirit was on full display as the community celebrated Eastlake High School’s 30-year anniversary on August 13, 2022 at the 30 Years of Greatness Community Lu-Wow Open House.

The event was themed after one of the schools beloved events, LU-WOW and was held throughout the Eastlake High School campus. Attendees enjoyed music, dancing, presentations, and the traditional naming of “Mr. Kahuna, and Ms. Aloha”; Dr. Cooke, Principal of EHS shared the honors with Stan Canaris and Heather Wood. Mr. Canaris was the second principal at Eastlake High and is who the football field is named for, and Ms. Heather Wood was honored as the longest serving teacher at Eastlake since it opened!

Guests also tour the campus, enjoy food from Eastlake BBQ Club and area food trucks, and enjoyed special historical displays highlighting the people and moments of the schools past. Current and past teachers  celebrated reuniting and shared hugs, laughter, and reminiscing stories. Past alumni returned with friends and family to share their memories and moments.

The day of celebration continued that evening with a social at Novo Brazil. This was the first of many celebrations that will honor EHS’s 30 years of serving the community and was hosted by EHS and the EASTLAKE Alumni & Friends hosted the event.

Conquering, soaring high,
In the distance, we will see our future unfold

Eastlake High

Titans reach towards the sky,
Peace we will seek, love we will teach,
True hearts with pride

As we’ve grown,
We’ve always known we found our way.
Years gone by, outward we shine
Blue, green, and gray

Eastlake High

Watch us as we march by,
With all our dreams, we will succeed
Hail Eastlake High!!!!
